In the Summer 2016 edition of Walt Disney World's annual passholder mailer, The Mickey Monitor, there were updates on a few changes to the MyMagic+ system, specifically in the area of FastPass+
The first change that is being made is that you can personalize the time for your FastPass+ selection as well as the amount of attractions. In The Mickey Monitor it says, "before, when selecting an experience, you automatically received available times. Now, you can select each experience at a time that fits your schedule. You also have the option to choose one, two or three selections, rather than always having to select three." Personally, my concerns are that it will be a challenge to figure out when a popular attraction (ie. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train) is available if you are not given the available times. However, I am sure that the bugs will be worked out and have already been considered by the higher ups at Disney.
If you have been following MyMagic+ carefully, you may have known that you could get an additional FastPass once you used all three reserved selections. But, you had to go to a kiosk inside the park. That often made it inconvenient, meaning long lines and the equipment often had issues. But now, if you choose to make an additional selection (one at a time) after your three initial selected experiences, you can do so from the My Disney Experience app! "Now, after you redeem your initial picks you don't have to go to an in-park kiosk to reserve an additional selection - you can do it from anywhere!", says the Monitor! These two additions and changes, while subtle, are very much needed and appreciated and now make the MyMagic+ and Walt Disney World experience even easier!
