Today, at the United States Travel Association’s IPW event, Universal Orlando revealed a few new details on the upcoming Volcano Bay water park at Universal Orlando. They announced a projected opening date, showed some marketing material, and gave us our first look into the park.
The park's main centerpiece will, naturally, be a large volcano. reaching two hundred feet in height. Orlando Sentinel reporter, Sandra Pedicini, said on twitter that within the volcano, will be a 70-degree slide named Ko’okiri dropping riders 125 feet. In addition to that, there will be two other body slides and a "marquee" attraction, rumored to feature screens, or something to that effect.
In addition to the volcano, Orlando Informer has reported that there will be Wave Village, River Village, and Rainforest Village. The Wave Village will be home to the park's wave pool with a beach. Also, there will be cabanas available in the area. The River Village will be home to the Kopiko Wai Winding River and several other attractions. The River will go through caves in the park's volcano. And finally, the Rainforest Village will be home to North America's first "saucer ride". Also, Puihi, will take guests into the dark with a zero-gravity drop. There will be other slides and rapid rivers. For more information on the areas and slides, check out this post on The Dibb.

Here is an official update from the official Universal Orlando blog post:
Universal will be introducing new ticket options with this third park. Tickets will be on sale shortly for travel dates beginning June 1st, 2017. That is not the official opening date, but they said to expect it to be ready and open by that date.
