Marvel's latest film Avengers Age of Ultron looks super exciting and so today we're looking at the top five things that have us excited to see in the film.
1. The Next Defining Chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Marvel is notorious for their intricate story-plots, and this film will be no different. Each film in the MCU has their effect on the universe at large, as will Age of Ultron. We already know that it will have a massive effect on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Phase Three of this massive universe, but we still have yet to find out what.
Two (currently) known heroes are joining the Avengers roster this summer, and they are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. I'm excited to see how Marvel takes on the Quicksilver character, straight off from being used by Fox for X-Men: Days of Future Past, although it likely won't have any mention in Ultron, Quicksilver and Scarlet are the twin children of Magneto, so it's pretty much the closest thing we have to the X-Men in the MCU. These new Avengers begin to pave the way for the New Avengers in Phase Three, and I'm actually kind of looking forward to what the new team will look like.
Normally, character deaths aren't usually something most people look forward to, but I'm looking forward to finding out which character is going to die in this installment. Certainly the quick return of Phil Coulson in Phase Two had the writers think the death plan through this time round. A character death would certainly raise the stakes for Phase Three, and would certainly bring the entire MCU to new levels. As sequel history shows us, the darker you go with each sequel, the better (which isn't always necessarily true, but usually tends to be true, particularly in superhero films.
